We’re buzzing to share that Bristol Beer Factory are the first official sponsor of the 2026 Bristol Birdman. and they’re helping one youth and community team take flight on 14th June.
As part of their sponsorship, BBF will be backing a team of young people and community participants to design, build and launch their own recyclable, human-powered flying machine from the harbourside platform. It’s bold, creative, a little bit bonkers… and exactly the kind of opportunity that helps young people believe in what’s possible.

This isn’t the first time Bristol Beer Factory have stepped up for young people in our city. Over the years they’ve supported the work of Grassroot Communities in many ways, including:
- Sponsoring a young person through our Grassroot Activators Programme (GAP)
- Sharing their journey and experiences with young people
- Joining us on the What Really Matters podcast to talk honestly about pathways, work, and community
- Championing local youth work and helping create opportunities from the grassroots up

The Bristol Birdman is more than just a spectacle on the harbour. Every penny raised goes back into supporting young people through mentoring, education, employment pathways, leadership opportunities and creative programmes across South Bristol.
